75TH ANNIVERSARY BANNER SHOW

I established the look of 5 On Your Side’s 75th Anniversary Banner Show in 2022.

The goal was to highlight big stories from each decade. Photos regarding the story needed to be represented while primarily staying informative with text. I used the NBC Peacock, the affiliate station, so it could be presented cohesively in an arc as we were told it could be set up that way. As seen, we weren’t able to set it up that way because of space constraints. Regardless, using the NBC Peacock added color and differentiated the decades while staying cohesive.

The Banner Show travelled to various libraries in the St. Louis region, as well as STAGES St. Louis. In August 2022, the Banner Show was on display at the Missouri History Museum during the 75th Anniversary Event.

The Banner Show received an honorable mention from the Hermes Creative Awards in April 2022.

  Old man winter 2023 - postcards

Postcards were created from a still frame, from the Old Man Winter 2023 promo, so we could transition from footage to a still and vice versa. Construction paper texture was added in After Effects for easier workflow.

LOGO COMPILATION

A compilation of logo animations utilized for newscasts and promotions.

Black History Month - Shaping St. Louis, 5 At The Fair, Taking Flight - Cardinals Spring Training, Give75, and Show Me St. Louis Location Postcards were designed by me.

The rest of the logos were already established.

All logos, aside from ‘Focused On You’, were animated by me.

Various logos created for specific projects at 5 On Your Side.

A logo was created for ‘Give 75’ to celebrate 5 On Your Side’s 75th Anniversary, in 2022, by giving $75,000 to 10 local non-profits and encourage the audience to join in.

A logo was created for news coverage around the St. Louis Cardinal’s Spring Training in March 2023.

A logo was created for ‘5 At The Fair’ where meteorologist, Scott Connell, went to different fairs with Weather First’s Storm Tracker every Friday in July 2023.

A logo was created for our special, “A Place to Call Home - 500 Forever Families” to celebrate the Foster & Adoption Care Coalition’s milestone of helping 500 children find their forever family, with 5 On Your Side’s collaboration, in 2023.

A logo was created for 5 On Your Side’s Black History Month - Shaping St. Louis. This was used for news opens and vignette promos in February 2024. The background utilizes St. Louis’ map while following colors to represent black culture. ‘Shaping St. Louis’ utilized an original font created by me.

FULL SCREENS FOR BROADCAST

Full screens created for 5 On Your Side newscasts, usually highlighting specials, community events, and giveaways. Extra room at the bottom was to make space for lower thirds.

Some pieces designed for 5 On Your Side. Including, a magnet made to hand out during the St. Louis Pride parade in June 2023, solar eclipse glasses for The Great American Eclipse in April 2024 (unfortunately, never printed from circumstances out of my control), along with a conceptual lanyard and badge.
